Rocket City Customs was founded in the fall of 2013 to rescue old classics from the forgotten and restore them or find them a new home.
RCC was started by Huntsville musician and bar owner Lance Almon Smith and his wife Katie in the back lot of a local storage unit facility. It has now grown into a large 12,000sf hot rod and restoration shop complete with paint booth.
Lance has been fascinated by cars ever since he was a toddler. When he was a teenager, after a brief stint driving quarter midgets, Lance and his dad bought and restored a 1972 Chevelle SS which he still owns to this day.
Since that time he and Katie have owned and/or restored dozens of classic cars.
Currently RCC carries an inventory of all shapes and sizes. Since Lance knows what it takes to own and/or restore a classic car, you can be sure that each vehicle will be described honestly and to the best of his extensive knowledge.
